We are expanding the capabilities of our in-house studio and looking for a highly motivated e-commerce photographer with a creative eye with the ability to capture products in the best way possible through lighting, styling, and composition. Responsibilities and Duties: 

Our ideal studio manager should ensure all studio equipment is accounted for, maintained, and transported, if needed. Our wide range of clients require different project deadlines, so the studio manager must also manage the studio calendar, creating ample workspaces depending on the project. 

  • Partnering closely with creative team for styling and art direction 
  • Work with e-commerce merchandise coordinators to establish and maintain an efficient workflow 
  • Support the Account Manager in producing photography based upon the customer needs and expectations and doing so accurately the first time. 
  • Creative sensibility with strong photographic and technical skills. Use proper lighting, style, and set up; follow specifications. Stop, ask, listen and learn before proceeding with photos. 
  • Ensure the accuracy of the product / SKU before capture. 
  • Communicate any suggestions or concerns to the Director of Photography immediately 
  • Assist in creating and then working within established workflows 
  • Inspects and notates cosmetic damage 
  • Responsible for movement of product to support the “Photo Station” process 
  • Responsible for securing, maintaining and operating all Photo Station equipment 
  • Works with GM to provide feedback when requested for process improvement 
  • Responsible for working with IT on any system issues our picture transfer issues • Performs other duties as assigned 

What you’ll do 

  • Maintain all photography equipment 
  • Collaborate with clients and Creative Director 
  • Facilitate all photography projects 
  • Ensure accurate completion of shot lists, file naming, processing and organization of digital files 
  • Upload digital files to all correct channels on a daily basis 
  • Ensure daily workload is completed within SLA – Raise red flags when in jeopardy, working with Photography Manager to resolve 
  • Partner with managers, JR Photographer, Product Coordinator and Sample Manager to ensure production expectations are met 
  • Proactively identify challenges in workflow or process and use critical thinking to provide Photography Manager with potential solutions 
  • Retouch to GS1 standards including compositing, liquifying, and other photo manipulation techniques 
  • Clean and maintain Picture Station area to include equipment 
  • Review pictures and audits for picture quality 
  • Ensures that all required paperwork is attached to the to the product per the SOP 
  • Keeps process fluid to avoid productivity reduction or back-ups 

What you’ll need 

  • Strong project leadership skills 
  • Advanced knowledge of digital capture applications such as Capture One, image editing applications such as Adobe Photoshop to handle basic digital image retouching and color correction, silos, color balancing, shadow creation, etc. 
  • Advanced computer literacy in Mac OS and Windows. 
  • Preferably five years’ photography experience that includes tabletop, mannequin, and various types of product.  
  • Past spin photography experience a plus. 
  • Flexibility with work hours based on demand. 
  • Great communicator with excellent ability to form strong and ever-growing relationships with customer and team members. 
  • Organized and can manage multiple projects. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications within a Mac or PC operating system. 
  • Flexibility in work schedule based on needs of customers. 
  • Keenness to ask questions, do research and understand the Product and target audience 
  • Able to work under pressure with fast turnaround times 

Physical Demands:  

You will be both seated and standing while performing the duties of the position and will frequently use hands for typing and utilizing a mouse on the computer, moving product on and off set and various miscellaneous tasks.  The employee will walk, stand and bend regularly and must frequently talk and hear.  Weights up to 70 pounds are occasionally lifted.
